Signs and symptoms include back pain, shivering and in-coordination which if left can lead to paralysis.

Is there any treatment for IVDD?

Yes, surgical or conservative treatment can be used in cases of IVDD.

What should you do if you think your dachshund is showing signs and symptoms of IVDD?

If you suspect your dog has a back problem or is showing any of the above signs arrange to see your vet immediately. The sooner your dog is diagnosed the better the outcome.
